Conference established to build leadership and networking opportunities between state and national associations.
The first annual State Training and Angus Retreat (STAR) Conference is set for March 22-25, 2018 in Saint Joseph, Missouri. The STAR Conference will focus on building strong leadership skills, creating networking opportunities and strengthening communications between state and national Angus associations.
“The National Junior Angus Board of Directors initiated the STAR Conference to help enhance the leadership skill sets within state associations,” said Bailey Palmer, Association event coordinator. “We hope the conference will strengthen the state association teams and create a network of great leaders.”
The three-day schedule is jam-packed with activities, workshops and presentations to promote state junior officer and advisor growth. Only state presidents, vice presidents, secretaries and treasures are invited to attend. All state advisors are welcome to register.
“Along with unique workshops, we will have the opportunity to tour American Angus Association and hear from the people who make the association all that it is,” Palmer said. “Most of the attendees have probably never been to the headquarters; this is an opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at what happens everyday.”
An online entry form and schedule are available here. For more information about the STAR Conference, visit the National Junior Angus Association (NJAA) website or contact the events and education department at 816.383.5100 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
