Angus enthusiasts led 326 entries at the 2015 National Western Stock Show Super Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, Jan. 14-16 in Denver, Colo. Dave Allan, Schulenburg, Texas, evaluated the 253 females, 69 bulls and four cow-calf pairs.
EXAR First Advance 5702B claimed the grand champion bull title after first earning the senior champion title. Express Angus Ranches, Yukon, Okla., and Schnoor Sisters, Chowchilla, Calif., own the September 2012 son of Dameron First Class.
Hoffman Ranch, Thedford, Neb.; Broken Arrow Angus Ranch, Fallon, Nev.; and Bloomberg Polyock, Olivet, Mich., own the reserve grand champion bull. BSF Opportunist Z5 is a February 2012 son of BSAR Opportunity 9114 and was first named reserve senior champion.
Calli West, Paris, Texas, owns the grand champion female. EXAR Frontier Gal 3734 is a January 2013 daughter of Dameron First Class and first won junior champion.
Shayne Myers, Colusa, Calif., claimed reserve grand champion female. Silveiras Saras Dream 3345 is an April 2013 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303 and first won reserve junior champion.
Champion Hill Blossom 8114 won grand champion cow-calf pair. Lindsay Upperman, Chambersburg, Pa., owns the January 2012 daughter of S A V Bismarck 5682. A June 2014 heifer calf sired by S A V Brave 8320 completes the winning pair.
Trista Bates, Manhattan, Mont., owns the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Cherry Knoll Elisha 1146 is the April 2011 daughter of Leachman Saugahatchee 3000C. A May 2014 heifer calf sired by SSCO Dateline TwentyTen X003 is at side.
