The 2022 Michigan Jr. Angus Preview Show was held at the Eaton Elite Beef Show on May 21 in
Charlotte. There were eight Angus heifers and three Angus steers exhibited by ten juniors.

The Champion Angus Heifer was exhibited by Kris Kosal from Deckerville. His heifer, Seldom Rest Bardot 1118, is a May 1, 2021 daughter of Conley Express 7211. The Reserve Champion Angus Heifer was shown by MacKenna Geeseman from Evart. Her heifer, Latt Andi 2103, is a February 15, 2021 daughter of PVF Insight 0129.

The Champion Angus Steer was exhibited by Kaytlyn Harfst from Battle Creek. Her steer, HC Prince 108, is an April 28, 2021 son of PVF Insight 0129. Kaytlyn’s steer went on to be selected as the Overall Grand Champion Market Animal and the Overall Grand Champion Bred & Owned Market Animal. The Reserve Champion Angus Steer was shown by Kyle Croll from Remus. His steer, FV DK KC DA Gus Gus 123, is an April 1, 2021 son of Silveiras Style 9303.

The Angus Showmanship classes were sponsored by the Michigan Angus Auxiliary. The Champion Jr.
Showman was Charlee Klink from Garden City, Champion Intermediate Showman was Blake Pillars from Martin, and the Champion Sr. Showman was Anika Stehlik from St. Johns. Kris Kosal from Deckerville was selected to represent Michigan in the National Jr. Angus Showmanship Contest to be held during the National Jr. Angus Show, July 3-9 in Kansas City, MO.
