2017 Winter Beef Classic – December 8-10, MSU Pavilion, East Lansing

Michigan juniors led out ten Angus steers and twenty-one Angus heifers at the recent 2017 Michigan Winter Beef Classic held December 8-10 at the MSU Livestock Pavilion. Logan Kosinski exhibited the Champion Angus Heifer and Jason Zeilke exhibited the Reserve Champion Angus Heifer. Logan’s March heifer went on to be selected as the Supreme Champion in the top five overall standings.

The Champion Bred and Owned Female was shown by Amanda Kosal and Kyle Ruggles exhibited the Reserve Champion Bred and Owned Angus Heifer. Amanda’s March heifer was selected as the Reserve Supreme Champion Bred and Owned Female in the top five overall standings.

Other class winners in the heifer show were exhibited by Makenna Hoppa, Braydon Zellmer, and Sterling Reichenbach.

Justin Stoll exhibited the Champion Angus Steer and Kavina Johnson exhibited the Reserve Champion Angus Steer. Kaitlyn Moore owned the Champion Bred and Owned Angus Steer. Kavina Johnson also placed first in class with her 802 pound steer. Congratulations to all the juniors who participated.
