Thirteen head of Angus cattle were exhibited at the 2017 Michigan Angus Preview Show. Grand Champion Female was SULL Hotz Lady 6348D, a February 2016 daughter of EXAR Blue Chip 1877B exhibited by Sterling Reichenbach from Bath. The Reserve Champion Female was ALB Miss Vanessa 617H, a February 2016 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303 exhibited by Lindsey Mogg from Sumner. These heifers were also selected as the Junior Champion Heifer and the Reserve Junior Champion Heifer. The Intermediate Champion Heifer was BWAF Pride 604, a May 2016 daughter of BC Lookout 7024 exhibited by Kylie Bates of Sebewaing. The Senior Champion Female was Grand River Dawn 595, an October 2015 daughter of VAR Generation 2100 exhibited by Jack Reid from Eaton Rapids. Kylie Bates from Sebewaing exhibited the Reserve Senior Champion Female, Grand River Blackcap 146, a December 2015 daughter of S Whitlock 321.

The Grand Champion Bull was Smiths Precise 609, an October 2016 son of WCC Exact T53 exhibited by Danielle Wood-Seddon from Brown City. The Reserve Champion Bull was Clay Knoll Angus Poncho 701, a March 2017 son of Silveiras S SIS GQ 2353 exhibited by Blake Pillars from Martin. These bulls were also selected as the Senior Bull Calf Champion and the Senior Bull Calf Reserve Champion.

The Champion Cow and Calf pair was exhibited by Blake Pillars from Martin. His cow was Clay Knoll Angus Precious 501, a January 2015 daughter of Bushs Unbelievable 423 with her January bull calf, Clay Knoll Angus Poncho 701.

The Champion Bred and Owned Heifer was Clay Knoll Georgiana 603, a February 2016 daughter of PVF Windfall SCC 9005 exhibited by Austin Pillars from Martin.
The Champion Angus Steer, Reidoca Insight R611, was shown by Jack Reid from Eaton Rapids. His May 2016 steer was sired by PVF Insight 0129. The Reserve Champion Steer was Clay Knoll Parker 604 exhibited by Austin Pillars from Martin. The March 2016 steer was sired by PVF Windfall SCC 9005. Austin’s steer was also bred and owned and was selected as the Overall Bred and Owned Champion Angus.

The showmanship classes were sponsored by the Michigan Angus Auxiliary. Champion Junior Showmanship winner was Blake Pillars from Martin. Austin Pillars from Martin was named the Intermediate Showmanship winner. Lindsey Mogg from Sumner and Sterling Reichenbach from Bath were selected to represent Michigan in the 2017 National Junior Angus Showmanship Contest held at the National Junior Angus Show in Des Moines, Iowa.
